Sometimes its so hard to follow.
Sometimes, we look at God's outstretched hand & we snatch our own back, yearning to be far away from His reach.
Sometimes we listen to the plans He's eagerly mapping out for us & we let our minds wander & complaints spill from our mouths; we turn our backs on His divine desires for our steps instead of letting curiosity & excitement well up in our hearts & propel our feet forward.
Sometimes it's just so hard to not do things exactly how we want to do them.
Yet, how overwhelmingly sweet & beautiful is the truth that the almighty author of the universe wants to write a part for you? How awe-inspiring is it that the God who moves the celestial bodies & who orchestrates the rhythms of the world wants to move you too?
& even more miraculous than that is the notion that He wants to do things with you. He makes individual plans for Himself & each one of you. He's created a life together that He wants to live with you. But because we don't see the "x" at the end of the trail on the map, or we don't know what track His plans will take us on, or because we're simply fixated on something else...we reject Him.
I could never imagine doing that to a lover. I would love doing anything that my boyfriend planned for the two of us, even if it wasn't something that I personally desired to do. Because the fact that he has a longing to plan something for us to do together is beautiful, & that love makes anything that we do together lovely.
The God of the universe, the lover of your very soul looks upon you with the desire to lead you, guide you, & reveal glorious plans for your life together.
